Blue Sky Blues

The modelmaker always tells me to post pictures of blue skies as an antidote to the rain clouds over Wales, but the people here would gladly swap blue skies for rain clouds. The 34cm that fell on the Lake District in one day in December is equivalent to a year's rainfall in some places round here but when that does not come ....
There has been no winter rain. Autumn 2014 had floods but 2015 was dry and there was no rain whilst we were away. Worse there is no snow on the Atlas,

"not even in Ifrane" (a ski resort). The dams built to collect melt-water stand by depleted resevoirs, The villagers in the Atlas have difficulty feeding and watering their livestock and wells and springs dry up. There have been national prayers for rain in the mosques at Friday prayers on the 1st and 15th of the month but still there is no rain or snow. The weather will be good for the Quaker's visit on Saturday  but for the people here it is Blue Sky Blues.
